The information that you provide helps me to offer the best therapy services that I can for you. This is my Privacy Policy relating to my website: thehealingretreat.co.uk and any information I collect directly from my clients: face to face, over the phone or via email for the purposes of administering and carrying out therapy services, and the use of email for marketing purposes.

I promise to protect and respect your privacy and this policy covers how I safeguard, process and use any personal information you provide and keep it safe in line with data protection laws.

What Information I Collect
The main pieces of information collected via the website for enquiry purposes are:

This gives me enough information from which to respond to your query. Additionally you may also leave your phone number.

For the purposes of conducting a therapy session with you, I require you to complete a New Client Form. The following information is obligatory:

The necessity for collecting this information is detailed on the New Client Form. A copy of your completed form will also be supplied to you for your records.

How I Process and Store Information

Keeping your data secure and confidential is of upmost importance to me and for your peace of mind. Your data will be kept safe and secure at all times.

All electronic information is password protected and all paperwork is locked away securely.
​
Therapy information and contact via legitimate interest
Information from enquiries which do not result in a client relationship is kept for six months to allow for further follow up by the enquirer.

All initial and subsequent information provided as part of a client relationship is kept for seven years as required in case of queries and legal claims for insurance purposes.

Contact will be made with you via the contact methods you have provided (email and/or telephone) for the purposes of the client relationship. This contact is made under legitimate interest i.e. as you have enquired or booked a therapy session/s with me it is a reasonable expectation that I will contact you with the information that you require.

Marketing information
Consent to receive emails such as newsletters, special offers and further insights into healing will require an ‘opt-in’ to marketing communications via my website or the New Client Form. You can choose to ‘opt-out’ from receiving these communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link on the marketing email or by contacting me at: info@thehealingretreat.co.uk

Your Legal Rights
Under certain circumstances, you have rights under data protection laws in relation to your personal data. These include the right to:

Request access to your personal data. You can request to receive copies of the data which is held about you. You can request this by contacting me at: info@thehealingretreat.co.uk and copies of this information will be supplied to you within a month of the request.

Request correction of your personal data. If you think that any of the data held about you is incorrect please contact me and I will update this as soon as possible, this is especially important if there have been any changes in your medical history which I need to be aware of for future sessions – please see further details in your New Client Form.

Request erasure of your personal data. For insurance purposes data relating to therapy sessions needs to be held for seven years (for the purpose of legal claims). This does not affect your right to have your data deleted however, if you only receive marketing communications from me such as emailed newsletters, which can be actioned by contacting me at: info@thehealingretreat.co.uk or opting out via the unsubscribe link in emails.

Object to processing of your personal data. Data resulting from a client relationship including information from the new client form and details from therapy sessions is kept securely to aid further sessions and for insurance purposes as detailed above. There is no further processing of this data and it is not passed to third parties. In the instance where you only receive marketing communications from me you have the right to ask for your data not to be processed i.e. you can request not to receive marketing emails and for your data to be deleted, this can be actioned by opting out of communications via the unsubscribe link or contacting me at: info@thehealingretreat.co.uk
